Overview
Giving your customers a smooth, predictable pickup experience is key to managing your baking schedule. This guide will help you configure your pickup location, set the required lead time for your bakes, and block out days off so your oven and your calendar stay perfectly synced!
Prerequisites
Your Bakeshop storefront is active.
You have a physical address ready to use for customer pickups (like your home bakery or a pop-up location).
Step 1: Access your pickup settings
Let's get your schedule dialed in from the dashboard.
Navigate to your Bakeshop dashboard.
Click on Schedule in the left-hand menu, then select Pickup.
Alternatively, you can just click the pink Continue Setup button under the "Set Pickup" section of your welcome checklist!
Step 2: Define your location and lead time
Tell your customers where to go and how much notice you need to bake their goodies.
Pickup Address: Click the dropdown to select your address. If you haven't added one yet, click the pink + button to add it.
Lead Time: Enter the number of Days you require to prepare an order. (For example, entering "3" means a customer ordering on Monday can't select a pickup day earlier than Thursday).
Step 3: Generate your time slots
Control the flow of traffic to your door by setting specific pickup windows.
Under Pickup Time Slots, set your daily Start Time and End Time.
Select an Interval from the dropdown (e.g., 15 or 30 minutes). This controls how often customers can show up for pickups.
Click the gray Generate Time Slots button to automatically create your schedule.
Click the pink Save button once your Pickup Settings are finalized.
Pro Tip: Need a lunch break or have to run an errand? You can click the X on any generated time pill (like 12:00 PM) to remove that specific slot from your day. You can also manually type a custom time in the box below and click +.
Step 4: Set your availability (Days off!)
You deserve a break! Here is how to block out days so nobody can schedule a pickup when you are resting.
Look over to the Pickup Availability section on the right side of your screen.
Block Days of Week: Click on any day you never want to work (like Sun and Sat). They will turn pink and appear under "Blocked Days."
Block Date Range: Going on vacation? Select a start and end date in the calendar fields, then click the Block button.
Scroll down to the Calendar view to double-check your work. All your blocked dates will be highlighted in red.
Click the pink Save button once your Pickup Availiabity are finalized.
