Overview
It’s time to fill your digital bakery case! Adding products is how you showcase your delicious creations to the world. Bakeshop lets you organize your items into an Everyday Menu (items always available for purchase) or Drops (items available only during specific scheduled windows).
Prerequisites
Your Bakeshop storefront is active.
You have mouth-watering photos of your products ready to upload.
You know your pricing and basic product descriptions.
Step 1: Navigate to product settings
Let's get to the right spot in your dashboard to start adding items.
Navigate to your Bakeshop dashboard.
Click on Products in the left-hand menu.
Click the pink + Add Product button in the top left corner.
Step 2: Enter basic details and choose product type
This is where you define what the item is and how you want to sell it.
Product Name & Price: Enter the name of your treat and how much it costs.
Category: Group similar items (e.g., "Cookies," "Cakes") to help customers browse easily.
Product Type: This is a crucial step!
Select Everyday Menu if this item should always be visible on your storefront for orders.
Select Drops if this item should only be available during specific, scheduled pre-sell windows.
Pro Tip: Not sure which to pick? Use "Everyday Menu" for your staple items, and use "Drops" for holiday specials or limited-time offers that you want to build hype around!
Step 3: Add description and photo
Make your product irresistible.
Description: Write details about flavors, ingredients, or allergens.
Photo: Click Choose File to upload a high-quality image of your bake.
Step 4: Manage inventory and options
Scroll down to the bottom section of the form to control stock levels and ask item-specific questions.
Inventory: Check Unlimited Inventory if you can bake an infinite amount, or enter a specific number in Inventory Quantity if you have a limit.
Custom Form Questions (Optional): Need to know something specific just for this item (like "What color icing?")? Click + Add Question to add a text field specifically for this product.
Once everything looks perfect, click the pink Add Product button at the very bottom.
Your product is now saved and added to your Products list!
